Come from 2pm. We will keep going into the evening, with food and drinks along the way.
Arianne and Christian invite you to a
A barbecue, drinks, and a very good excuse to get everyone together in the redwoods.
Please RSVP by the end of October 2026, more details to follow.
Come celebrate with us
We affectionately call our place The Canyon. It is tucked into the redwoods near the Russian River, and we would love to get our favourite people together there for a proper party.
Technically it is our 10 year wedding anniversary, but mostly it is a good excuse for friends and family from the UK, the US, and wherever else to eat, drink, catch up, and spend an afternoon in the trees.
If California is a long way for you, no pressure. If you can make it, this page should help with the practical bits.
The party plan
Not a formal weekend itinerary, not a black-tie dinner, not a compulsory hike. Just a relaxed Saturday at The Canyon.
When
Come from 2pm. We will keep going into the evening, with food and drinks along the way.
Where
The party is at The Canyon, our place in the redwoods near the Russian River. We will share the exact address with confirmed guests.
What
Food and a selection of drinks will be provided. It is relaxed, outside where possible, and not a formal wedding-style event.
Who
Partners, plus-ones, and children are invited. We are expecting around 100 people, so RSVPs really help us plan.
Come as you are, wear whatever. Late May should be pleasant, but evenings under the redwoods can cool down, so bring a layer.
Parking is available. The roads around Guerneville are rural, so we will send practical arrival details with the address after RSVPs.
Travel and lodging
Guerneville is small, beautiful, and rural. If you are making a trip of it, plan accommodation early and assume a car will make everything easier.
Read the travel and lodging notesGuerneville and the Russian River area can fill up, especially around holiday weekends. We will add more detailed lodging notes as recommendations firm up.
The roads are rural and winding, and taxis or rideshare can be limited. SFO and OAK are the easiest big-airport options; Santa Rosa can be great if the flights work.
If you are thinking of camping, tell us in your RSVP. We can make plans, but water is limited and showers may be limited too.
If you are staying longer
The party is the main event, but we will share ideas for anyone turning the journey into a bigger Northern California trip.

RSVP
Please RSVP by the end of October 2026 so we can plan catering, drinks, parking, and camping. Accommodation plans are especially useful because The Canyon is water scarce.
