Guerneville
Closest to the party and easiest if you want to be near the river, redwoods, and The Canyon.
Travel & lodging
Guerneville is small, rural, and beautiful. Book early, assume a car will make life easier, and tell us your accommodation plan when you RSVP.
Where to look
Memorial Day weekend can book up early around the Russian River. These are search areas rather than ranked recommendations until we confirm specific places.
Closest to the party and easiest if you want to be near the river, redwoods, and The Canyon.
Close by and quieter, with cabins and river places often worth checking.
Convenient between Santa Rosa and Guerneville, especially if you want an easier drive in and out.
More restaurants and town amenities, but a longer drive back after the party.
More hotel options and easier airport access, with less of the redwoods feel.
A wine-country option if you are making a trip of it; likely further away and more expensive.
Lodging placeholder
We still need to confirm hotels, inns, rental cabins, glamping options, and whether any rooms are being held. For now, use the areas above and book something refundable if you find a good fit.
Getting around
Public transport, taxis, and rideshare can be limited around Guerneville, especially late. The roads are scenic and winding, so allow more time than the mileage suggests.
Address privacy
The party is at The Canyon in Guerneville. We are keeping the home address off the public site and will send practical arrival and parking details to confirmed guests.
Airports
Exact route and drive-time guidance still needs checking. The main thing for now: rent a car unless you already have a better plan with other guests.
STS
Closest and easiest if the flights work. Exact drive-time guidance is still a placeholder.
SFO
A likely choice for UK and international arrivals. Build in time for traffic and the drive north.
OAK
Often a practical alternative to SFO depending on flights, car rental, and traffic.
SJC
Possible, but usually a longer drive. Treat it as a fallback unless the flight is much better.
Camping at The Canyon
The Canyon is water scarce, so camping numbers matter. This is not meant to put anyone off; it just helps us make sure the setup is sensible.
Camping is possible on the property by a dry creek, but it is rustic rather than a serviced campsite.
Please tell us in the RSVP if you hope to camp so we can plan space, water, and facilities.
Basic camping facilities will be provided, showers may be limited, and fires will not be allowed because of fire bans.
Toilets, drinking water, power, tent space, camper vans, quiet hours, and maximum camping capacity are still placeholders to confirm.
Notes for UK visitors
Driving is on the right, automatic rental cars are standard, and California distances can feel bigger than they look on a map. Evenings can be cool even after warm days, so pack a layer.
Please RSVP by the end of October 2026 and include your accommodation plan, especially if you are thinking about camping at The Canyon.
